Heraklion to Santorini ferry question

We will be taking a ferry from Heraklion to Santorini this summer - I’ve read a few places that there are quite a few people that get seasick on this trip. We are going in July - and it looks like we will be on Elite Jet (it has been changed 3 times since we first bought our tickets). Anyway I’ve read that some ferries are more of a rough ride depending on the size.
For those of you who have traveled on this ferry is this one to be prepared for seasickness on? I have one daughter who is pretty prone to motion sickness and want to be prepared.
Thanks!

The Elite Jet (1000 passengers / 140 vehicles) is one of the large catamarans in the Seajets fleet. You don't have to worry about seasickness with this type of ferry.

I have never traveled with this one but it is the same type as the World Champion Jets or the Power Jet which I have had to take quite often. There is a small outdoor deck where you cannot stay for long (too windy). Nothing like the pleasure of traveling on a Blue Star Ferry.

If you have read some advice about Seajets ferries I am surprised that you have not read that there is no point in booking so early, with Seajets there are always timetable changes, or even cancellations.

You could just as easily have purchased your tickets in Crete 2 or 3 day before departure, you would have had a reliable view of the available Heraklion-Santorini ferries and their schedules.

Something else to take into consideration is the weather. July is prime time for the Meltemi Wind in the Aegean. The wind can be so strong that some of the ferries are forced to stay in port. The sea can get very rough when this happens, causing discomfort, and even seasickness. Prepare for this eventuality and hope for the best.
