I read that the museum offers an audio guide but I can’t seem to find any information on their website pertaining to it. For anyone who has visited, do you remember if they were offered and were they good? I looked into hiring a guide but the ones I’ve researched are quite pricey. I was hoping the museum offered tours but from what I’ve researched, they do not.
Paid audio guides are offered when you buy a ticket via a private third party companies (like Get Your Guide).
Regarding a private guide you can try to contact one of them:

I visited the museum in October. I think it's easy to visit without a guide. All the displays have explanations in English as well as Greek.
I didn't specifically look for a guide, so I can't confirm whether an audiguide was available. I'll defer to JoLui on that.
