I have noticed that the 7:10 ferry from Thira to Piraeus on Hellenic Seaways is reasonably fast (6:05) but 30.70 EUR less than using Seajets anytime (the fastest is the 9:50 that takes 5:35). Other than being different operators, is there a substantial difference in reliability, etc between these two options?
Honestly, I am not sure which one I will take. The 7:10 is a bit too early, and I have to take a taxi from Oia. In this context, when would be a good time to depart for Thira port from Oia (Olympic villas, it is next to the bus stop in Oia)?
