Today July 17 the Acropolis will remain partially closed from noon to 5 p.m. due to expected high temperatures.
Given the weather forecast - 40°C (105 F) in the coming days - the partial closure will likely be extended at least until the weekend.

It’s been 39C in parts of this province, so I can imagine how much hotter it would be for people standing in line on all those rocks! It will be disappointing for people who have limited time, but even at the end of April when I was there I found the site almost too hot.
