Rough morning at any level. Was there 2 years ago, this week. Glad to not be there during a quake.
I was there just 2 weeks ago! An absolutely a beautiful island, probably one of my favorites of the Greek Isles we saw.
Friends who live there say the old buildings have the most damage, some destroyed, newer construction was OK.
The magnitude was unconfirmed. The important thing is check your friends and update your travel plans as necessary.
An interesting side note to me is that the quake happened at 17 after the hour and the shock waves reached the seismic network in Yellowstone at 30 after the hour.
So, Pam, clearly a shock felt ‘round the world. That’s plenty forceful!
