Has anyone ridden the new White Train (fast train) from Athens to Thessaloniki?

How was it? How did you book tickets? The TRAINOSE site is confusing even in English.

I did not take this new train, but regarding the use of the Trainose website for this train, ticket reservations cannot be made more than a month in advance.

When you will have access to the list of trains for a particular date, select the train.

At the top right click on "Seat selection and passengers"

This takes you to the seat selection page.
Seats not available are in grey.

Click on the desired available seat(s).
On the right enter the name(s) of the passengers (click on add Passenger after each name).
The total price is displayed as you add passengers names.

When all the seats and names are filled in, click on the top right on "Terms of service"

Then check the box "I accept the terms of service" and click on "Payment"

Select your payment method, fill in all the requested information and click next to get to the final payment page

The chance that someone on this forum will have used is probably a bit low, they have only been operating for a few weeks. But what do you want to know?

Well, I successfully booked it for Tuesday, June 7 on the TRAINOSE.Gr site. The Ninja Train site has really negative reviews that you should read before booking on that site. Happy travels!

I took the train from Thess to Athens a couple days ago. I was able to book my ticket about 10 days before. Seat61.com has great info about riding trains (all over) including some tips about using Trainose's website. One thing - I was either confused on the site or the site was wrong, but I intended to book a forward-facing seat on the right side (heading southbound), so that I could get a better view of the mountain ranges we passed, but alas, I was on the 'wrong' side and had to crane my neck.

There was no obvious choice of a faster train when I booked my tickets, nor did I see any evidence of one in Thess. Have fun! Thessaloniki is one of my all time favorite places :)
