Greek Islands in late March/early April

Good morning! We are looking at doing the 8 day Greece trip in April. We want to do islands in Greece but are thinking about doing it prior to RS tour. Has anyone done the islands in late March early April? Are most stores/restaurants open? Boat/snorkel tours available during this time? Thanks in advance for any and all responses!

I haven't ever gone earlier than mid-May, but for snorkel tours, make sure you have a wet suit. The Aegean is still pretty brisk until June, I find.

I haven't gone in March but I have gone the second half of April so April may be the better month to travel.

Just because one travels off season doesn't mean Greece shuts down.

They'll always be shops, markets and tavernas open for locals, maybe not as much touristy places but more than enough to meet most needs depending on what your needs are.

You may want to pick one of the larger islands that have more options for services.

Do your research on islands to find any that meet your interests and come back and ask for more advice.

The Aegean may be to cold for snorkeling but there are so many other things to do on most islands to keep you occupied.

Weather is very questionable late March early April.
Where ever you choose in the islands make sure it has proper heating as it can be cold and damp.
Sea temp will be cold very cold.
You may get lucky and have bright sunny days, evenings will be chilly though.
