The Greek government has announced that all requirements of visitors to show proof of vaccination or negative Covid tests will be scrapped as of May 1.
The Minister of Health said the decision was based on epidemiological data and meant the end of mask-wearing requirements beginning June 1. The end of Covid rules will last at least until August 31, when they will be reevaluated.
The announcement comes as the peak summer tourism season nears in Greece, where 20 percent of the economy is linked to travel.
