We have 4 days to Greece planned and 4 unplanned. We're traveling soon to Athens and then to Santorini. From Santorini, with 4 days left on the ground, what is the most enjoyable way to spend the other four days? We're traveling with our grown teenaged sons.
We could go to Crete for two days and one day trip from Athens to Delphi and one to Nafplio - OR we could go one day to Naxos and then to Nafplio and surrounding areas. What do you recommend?
Go to Paros or Naxos for a much better Greek experience after Santorini. Or go to Napflion and explore that surrounding area of major antiquities.
Forget Crete unless you have at least a week.
Chopping your itinerary into day trips like you describe will not be as rewarding as staying in one place for four days.

I agree with suki and stanbr. Stay in one place for 4 days! Either Naxos or Nafplion are great choices.
Depending on how firm your plans are, it's a good idea to have at least one of your Athens days at the end of the trip so bad weather or a strike doesn't strand you on an island.
