Greece in August

Hello
I know I’m making my plans late
Family of 4 planning to visit Greece this August for 10 days, from London. Plan is to visit Athens, Crete and Santorini but not sure the best order, means of transportation and what to do/see. Family of mum, dad, 20yr old and 11yr old.
Help please.

Greece in August is very hot and extremely crowded.

I have flown directly to Corfu from the UK before. If you can find flights to Corfu, I would go there. You could spend the whole time on the island, but the nearby mainland is a treasure trove of unforgettable sites that will be far, far, far less crowded than Santorini or Crete and with far fairer weather.

You would have easy access to all of Epirus, Parga, Lefkada, Meteora, Preveza and countless others.
