Greece for young children?

Our grandkids (8 and 10) have listened to the Greeking Out podcast…great retelling of the Greek myths. As a result, our daughter is keen on taking to Greece. Our concern is that the sites are mostly the broken remnants of temples, etc. and the kids would be bored. Thoughts?

From the few minutes I listened to, The Greeking Out podcast is an adaptation based on some characters from Greek mythology for young children. This actually has little to do with visiting a country, its museums and archaeological sites.
Which doesn't mean your kids might not be interested, who knows?

Perhaps some educational work could be useful before any travel plans.
