There are five of us ranging from 73-11 years old. Where in Greece would people recommend to visit for 7-10 days? We are open to all suggestions that are appropriate for our age group.
Thanks!

That's a pretty broad question, but one place that comes to mind is Meteora. It has both history, natural beauty, and plenty of open space to hike or walk around. Centuries old Orthodox monasteries and nunneries on top of towering basalt pillars. Its in a mountainous part of Greece, and you'll almost feel like you were in the Alps. https://www.visitmeteora.travel/
You can get there by train or car (as we did) in about 4 1/2 hours from Athens. I would recommend Doupiani House hotel: https://www.doupianihouse.gr/
Or, if your idea of a visit to Greece is more island-oriented, take a look at Paros and Naxos. Both are family-friendly, have excellent beaches, shopping, restaurants, archaeological sites and recreational opportunities. Both are accessible from Athens by plane or ferry. Both have efficient bus systems, and taxis, if you don't want to rent a car.
Thank you both for the suggestions!
When you are going? Could you be a bit more specific about the group - two grandparents, 2 parents, 1 kid? Are you looking for a lot of sightseeing? beach time? relaxation? Would you consider renting a car? That's a fairly short trip - or is it part of a longer trip?
Please provide more info like what are your interests: islands, mainland, touristy, non-touristy, culture, history, beach, mountains, budget, etc.
Too many areas to recommend without knowing specifics.
Here's a website for Greece. Take a look and come back with anything that interests you:
There is one grandparent, a 14 year old, an 11 year old, my husband and myself. We will have just spent 11 days in France.
We are open to explore the ancient ruins along with time on the beach to relax.
You still didn't say when you plan to visit. Advice can vary drastically, depending upon timing. You said you'd be in France; I clicked on your name & found it would be "in June." I hope that your time in Greece will also be in June, because starting in July, huge throngs of Europeans (who have long holidays) will be descending upon the islands, and places that are delightful in June will be cram-jammed. For the best experience, you will have to strategize. BTW, it's always better to give as many details as you can up front... it helps us to give best advice, and avoid wasting effort on scenarios that then prove inappropriate.
Once you've decided on where to go, and how to get there & back ( In Greece, Always solve the logistics of travel before booking accommodations), there's a lodging aspect which may not be obvious from Guidebooks. With more than 4, instead of looking for a "villa" or really large apartment for all of you ... consider looking at side-by-side lodging units. In many Greek isles, the most enjoyable locations (on or very near beaches, walkable to villages/ports, busses, no need to rent car fulltime) are smaller, famly-run places. These usually have 12-20 units, some units have 1 BR +LR with daybeds + kitchenette & balconies, others are 1-room "studios." It can be easier to find prime locations if u take this approach... and it has the advantage of flexibility & privacy AND 2 bathrooms. Time together & time apart makes for happiest family vacations.
Yes, as previous posters have explained, Greece is madness from June to August. Beginning of June is not so bad, but I hope the weather will serve you well. My suggestions include some of the islands, like Rhodes, Corfu and Crete, but the best for families is Naxos.
It's easy to find accommodation through Airbnb, booking, hotels etc. Usually the prices in beginning of June are much less, and make sure you book few months in advance.
Have fun!
