Greece (Athens & Cyclades) - 12 Nights

Good day, my husband and I (age 30) want to travel the Cyclades next year early June 2020. We are very adventurous and fit, love being outdoors, hiking, beach vibes, sightseeing and we love photography as well. Our plans (summary) as follow:
1 night Athens / 3 nights Milos / 3 nights Santorini / 3 nights Ios / 2 nights Paros.

  • Should we do the islands in this order?
  • Should we do Athens in the beginning or end of our trip? According to flight schedule we will arrive in Athens the morning around 6:30am. Should we stay a night in Athens, or rather spend the night in Athens at the end of our trip and directly travel from the Airport with the Metro to port terminal to continue our travel to Milos by Ferry?
  • What is the best website / company to use when booking ferries?
  • Where can we find the best ferry price?
  • Should we perhaps skip Paros and add the extra 2 nights elsewhere?

THANKS

Take a night from Santorini and give it to Paros. Fly yo Santorini first as it is the farthest away from Athens. Athens needs more time.

11 days split between 4 islands may be watering down your island(s) experience. Every time you move eats up time, not just with the ferry but packing/unpacking, getting to the port, waiting for the boat and once arriving at your destination starting over again.

In addition Athens deserves a minimum of 2 days with 3 being even better.

I haven't been to Ios but hear it's a very heavy-duty party island. If that's your thing you'll be OK.

Still, I would drop one island and add the time to Athens. Most people leave Athens at the end of their trip if possible.
