I’m traveling in May with my daughter and her friend right after college graduation.
We are planning 4 nights in Italy and 4 nights in Greece. Neither girl has been to Europe.
We are looking for ideas- definitely want to do Rome and Athens.
Should we stay in each Athens and Rome all 4 nights? Or should he stay another night in a different city?
Thoughts?
Thank you for all of your help. I love this community.

We thought 2 full days in Athens was enough and we loved it. Maybe 3 nights Athens and 5 nights Rome. Can’t count your arrival day unless you get in in the am.
I agree with the previous poster. Spend more time in Rome than Athens. We also spent two full days and three nights in Athens and I thought that was sufficient. IMHO, there's lots more do and see in Rome, especially if this is your first time in Europe
I agree on how long to spend doing things in Athens itself, but one additional thought:
There are bus tours from Athens to places like Mycenae and Delphi that you can take which can be quite enjoyable without the hassle of driving yourself.

Thank you for the help.
You are going to lose the better part of a full day when you change countries. Why not stick with Rome for the full 8 days. You will not be able to see everything Rome has to offer in 8 days let alone 4. If you are determined to do both then I agree, drop a day from Athens and add it to Rome.
For fun
