Considering this itinerary for a trip for 8 adults (2 older, 6 younger) late next spring. My youngest is putting the most thought into the trip so I fear we're going on a TikTok guided path. We have a group that loves the water and scenic vistas and good food/drink. But I don't want to miss out on history high points! What should we be considering? Should we drop a city? Change a city?
I would limit it to three stops in ten nights, likely eliminating Mykonos.
Hop over to Santorini (3) on arrival, then stop on Paros (4), finish in Athens (3).
I agree with Valadeiphia. You are planing too many hops. Each hop eats up a half day due to ferry schedules. Get to Santorini day of arrival and spend 3 night. It is spectacular. Then ferry to Paros for 4 nights then fly or ferry back to Athens . Experienced traveller keep Athens and its historical attractions at the end of the trip. Two reasons, you will be over jet lag on the islands and will have energy to do all the ancient sites in Athens and you are on the mainland before your return flight.
Paros will give you an authentic Greek experience. Mykonos is very expensive and heavily over tourested.
