We are staying in Nafplio for a few days in mid August. We will not have a car. Can we take a taxi from Nafplio to Mycenae? If so what is the approximate price?

When we went to Napflio we asked our hotel keeper about local rentals and he arranged for a one day car rental delivered to the hotel and returned there. I don't recall how much it was, but in the scheme of things it wasn't bad. So we went off at 9 for Mycenae and Epidavros and were back by happy hour on the waterfront.

As you might expect, renting a car for the day will probably be cheaper (and you could visit other sites).

Been a while, but the KTEL bus system, at least at that time, offered buses to both Mycenae and Epidaurus. They were not super frequent, so you need to plan your day, and you likely could not do both in a day, but it worked for us.

What we did was to hire a driver who took us there from Nafplio and also took us to Epidabros
