My daughter is travelling from Piraeus to Athens airport at 23:15 on the 17th. Very worried about the heat. Are cabs air conditioned? Any advice on hot to best manage the heat would be appreciated.

Clarification - where do you book or take taxis from in Piraeus at that time of night? Concerned because she’s heard of scam taxis and she’s a solo traveller.

The temperature after 10 p.m. will not be a problem. There are several ways to get to the airport from the port of Piraeus, metro blue line, bus x96, taxi. Or pre-book taxi with for example Welcome Pickups with which the price is determined in advance

I’d use Welcome Pickups. It’ll cost 70 euros but they are reliable and the cars are modern.

If your daughter books a taxi she will have to specify to the driver the arrival gate of the ferry (the port of Piraeus is huge) it will be Gate E6 if she takes the Blue Star Delos which arrives at 23:15

Or you can take the air conditioned train. Its called Proastiakos if you want to look it up. Direct from Piraeus to the Airport,
