Does anyone have any suggestions for fun activities to do with teenagers in Athens?

Thanks,

Look into virtual reality apps for touring the big sights like the Parthenon, so they can visualize how it may have looked. https://moptil.com/apps/

They will like the Acropolis museum.

Take them to the changing of the guard ceremony at Syntagma Square Sundays at 11:00 am.

Roam the streets of the Plaka neighborhood and go shopping in the Monastiraki neighborhood.

The archeological museum is a highlight but only if they know what they are looking at. The BBC documentaries on ancient Greece are excellent and really engaging. You can find them on BBC Select, Amazon Prime and YouTube,

Are your teens older, younger or a mix of ages? Are they familiar with the Rick Riordan, Percy Jackson series? Do they like the humor of the Horrible History series (Groovy Greeks) in book format or YouTube? Athens is like one big historical adventure at every corner in the city center. They will enjoy wandering and discovering but if they have a little foundation in Greek culture, history and mythology they’ll have a better time realizing what they are seeing in this fascination city center.

We were there in April. Our teens (16 and 19) loved Athens. Favorites were the acropolis (we went twice!) , eating delicious food, walking around the Plaka, the ancient Olympic stadium, and especially the Agora. That said , our teens like walking and eating, so that’s what we do 😀. If your kids like meeting and talking with other adults I’d recommend checking out Eat With. We did that instead of a cooking class and it was fun.
