Hello,
We are on the Athens Heart of Greece Tour. There is free time (good thing!) but I am looking for suggestions. Specifically Mani, Monemvasia, and Nafplio. The dates of the tour are September 1 - 14
Thank you for all suggestions

Do you have the Greece tour book.?
It will have lots of info on stuff the tour does not do and you can choose to do what you want.
You can also go to TripAdvisor, to the individual forums for those specific destinations and click on "Things to do" at the top of each forum's web page.
We just did this tour in April and it was fantastic! I don't know if I can be a ton of help, because we kind of just relaxed on this trip. We usually plan and pack every minute, but Greece is really more about the scenery and the food and the people, to me. We saw a ton of ruins and museums during the guided time, so on our own time we just wandered the towns. In Kardamyli there were near little shops where we bought gifts and some great restaurants. Our guide took us on an optional walk that was nice. In Monemvasia we spent the day on the island walking up to the top to check out the views. It was quite a hike, but worth it and you can take your time. In Nafplio we took a taxi to the top of the fortress for the views and then walked down. I highly recommend this rather than hiking up the 900+ stairs.
You will love this tour! Amazing food, gorgeous scenery. Just incredible. Hope you have a wonderful time!
Thank you all,
I am in the early stage of planning the free time and can use all of your suggestions. Experiences of others is a great starting point.
Have you looked at the tour scrapbooks? That should give you ideas of what others did during their free time.
