Fira Lodging -- It's decision time.

I'm usually much more decisive than this, but I'm dithering over which lodging to pick for our visit to Santorini 16-20 October. I have decided that we will be in Fira, so that's one hurdle jumped.

All these have pluses and minuses. All are acceptable. All have decent reviews in a variety of places. Now I'd like your opinions -- good, bad or indifferent on any of them.

  1. Cori Rigas Suites -- the only one from the RS Greece book.

  2. Athina Suites

  3. Rena's Suites

  4. Hotel Anteliz

Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't have any opinion of these hotels but I can tell you that if you're after a hotel with a caldera view then eliminate Rena's Suites. It's not on the cliff and it faces away from the caldera instead of into it.

I can't offer you any opinion of the hotels, only the opinion to go ahead and choose one based on the info you have about them.

Lo,

I don't have any information to offer on any of the places you mentioned. I stayed at Hotel Nissos Thira and found the location good and the room very comfortable (but no Caldera view). However, I'd ask for a room at the back as it's right on the main road through town and the traffic can be a bit thick, even in the evenings.

If you have specific concerns beyond what you've already read in reviews you can go to tripadvisor.com and send a private message to any reviewer to try to get the answers you seek.

Thanks for the input everyone. I finally decided and we are booked for the Cori Rigas Suites.

Too late. I did check Oia and decided the places cost more than I wanted to pay for what they had to offer. When we take the bus over there, I'll find out if I think I made a mistake.
