Itinerary: Fill In The Blanks

We did Mykonos for 5 days and wished we even did it for longer. We stayed in Ornos beach and took the taxi and the bus to Mykonos town. One day we did Delos Island, we took the first boat out and stayed there half a day. We walked around Mykonos Town during the day and at night it turns into a super busy town. The famous club such as the Scandavanian Bar was awesome and there are tons more. Ornos beach is awesome, it is small but very very clean and beautiful. We also did 6 nights in Santorini and that was really enough. We did the hike from Oia to Fira one day. we went downto Amoudi Bay and jumped off the cliffs..... Syros is really beautiful too, you can do a trip from Mykonos.....

Paros is a nice idea... Folegandros also.. But it depends what you need.. Party or relax

If you need party visit Mykonos but be careful with budget.

The only thing I would recommend is in Athens attend a theatrical performance of Ancient Drama.. Oedipus Rex at Athinais theater

I really want to attend the theater...but my travel partner...???

In October 2018 I went to Greece, including Crete for 2 nights/ 3 days. I went to Knossos, Heraklion and Crete. The Phaistos disc is in the archaeology museum in HerakIion. I realize that Crete is beyond the scope of Rick Steve's guidebooks and other opinions say you shouldn't visit Crete unless you give yourself at least 7 days there.

If we do the schedule above, we would do a day-trip to Mykonos, and would want the quickest route to Paradise Beach. Any info about the taxi service in Mykonos from the port?

Your revised schedule has you in Santorini for just one night? You might consider taking one of your Athens nights and adding it to Santorini. There's at least one winery on Santorini and plenty to see to keep you busy. You could spend 2 nights there, giving you two of those gorgeous sunsets, then fly to Athens early the next morning.

When you're on Paros, I recommend an all-day boat trip around Antiparos with Lazy Day with Captain Ben. He'll pick you up & bring you back to Paros. It's a fun day -- beautiful scenery, several stops for swimming and snorkeling, good food and drinks.

Hi Charlene. Yeah, I keep going back and forth with adding that night to Santorini or keeping it in Athens. We may have one extra day to add to our trip, fingers crossed. Then I'll definitely add the night to Santorini, but we're doing that wine tour either way :-) I'm going to look into Captain Ben's boat tour, too, sounds great! Thank you!
