Ferry Travel in Greece

Hi there,

We will be in Greece in Sept of 2015 and are planning to go to one island. I have been looking at the various websites about which ferries to take and am just wondering does one need to make ferry reservations much in advance or if we make a refervation online about a week, or even a few days ahead of the day we wish to travel would that be sufficient? We are planning to go to Santorini, Mykonos or Crete, just haven't decided yet.

The ferries that serve those islands are all very large. In September none of them will be full. You can book at the port the day of your departure, but if that makes you nervous buy your tickets at the airport when you first arrive from the travel desk of Amphitrion Holidays, Pacific Travel or Aktina Travel, all in the Arrivals Hall.
