I am trying to plan a trip to crete and want to take a ferry to possibly naxtos after in may 2027 however they haven"t posted the ferry schedule for 2027 yet. Please advise

So you want to go to Crete and Naxos. Easy enough to do. Look as this year’s schedules as they should be similar.
Then, wait for the ferry schedules to be released and book!

I am also waiting for the 2027 ferry schedules for the Med along with the Swiss, French and Italian train schedules. You can go online and find out when the schedule you are waiting for will be released.
I then put a notice on my phone's calendar for that day to remind me to purchase the boat, train or event tickets. I also went ahead and built my itinerary around the dates for 2026. They may be off a day or two for 2027 but I can adjust when the dates are confirmed.
Most schedules will be released for 2027 around mid to late October 2026. You just have to keep checking.

Greek Ferry schedules for May generally become available starting in March.
The Heraklion – Naxos route (via Santorini) is operated daily by Seajets, with a departure from Heraklion around 8:00 AM. Seajets tends to publish its schedules a bit earlier than other operators, so you can check their website:
You do not need to book more than 2 or 3 days in advance anyway, so there is no need to rush.
To answer LoMac99 regarding trains in France: the SNCF publishes train schedules between 3 and 5 months in advance, depending on the type of train and the season.
