We are leaving for Greece in three days and are very excited. Last question before we go. We will be in Santorini and leaving for Naxos on the 28th of June by ferry. With the projected ferry strike on the 30th should I go ahead and make our reservations before we leave or just continue to wait and make then while in Santorini? I know this is not the busiest time of the year but do ferries fill up more in anticipation of a strike?
Thanks. It is May 28 not June. Thanks for info will just book when I’m there
You could also contact the shipping company (Hellenic Seaways or BlueStar ) that operates on these routes and ask them what happens to pre-booked tickets in case of a strike. I believe that they give you a refund but to be sure it is better to contact them. I've seen strikes before, during June and in the middle of the week I don't think it will be over crowded. Better wait to book them 1-2 days before you go just to be sure.
