Has anyone used Dionisios Solomos ferries, the departure time is ideal for us, but the low price has me concerned as far as quality and dependability? Thank you, everyone has been so helpful on this forum.
I traveled with the Dionysios Solomos (Zante Ferries).
It's like the Blue Star ferries, there's a bar/restaurant, seating on a sheltered outdoor deck and sea view.
That's all I ask.
If you take it, it will stop at Kimolos (that's where I got off).
It is very slow! So to go to Santorini from Athens it will be much longer for you (about 12 hours) , and it may be a partially night trip (no sea view! ) with an arrival in the middle of the night.
But I think it is possible to book cabins (which I have not visited)
Thank you for the input, I will double check the sailing duration.
