My husband and I absolutely love Rhodes Island, Greece. We have been there about 3-4 times and are going back for 10 days this summer. The small village of Haraki (Charaki) is splendid. The rents are very reasonable, there are a few small markets in the small village, and several restaurant/bars. It is not necessary to have a car, though you must get from the airport to Haraki (30 miles +/-) The village surrounds a small bay and there are umbrellas & sun beds available to rent. It is small, quiet and perfect. The water is great and we swim every day.
