Just returned from an excellent trip to Athens. We spent three days there ahead of a hut-to-hut hiking trek in northwestern Greece in the Vikos Gorge area (highly recommend!). Had a GREAT time in Athens. Spent a full afternoon with the incomparable Faye Georgiou, an expert guide who spices up the mountains of incredible knowledge she offers (we did the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum with her) with witty, funny and smart tidbits and anecdotes.
