We will be dropping off rental car in Ermioni to take ferry to Hydra. The ferry leaves early in the morning so our plan is to arrive in Ermioni the evening before. RS doesn't list a place to stay there. Anyone have advice on a clean simple hotel for 1 night?

There aren't many hotels in Ermioni, and it's likely RS has never been there, but you'll find plenty of studios or apartments for an overnight stay. Booking.com or Google Maps, selecting "Vacation Rentals," are your best friends for this kind of search.
If I were you, and if you want a local tip, ask Pop's Car when you rent the car, I'm sure they have some good places to suggest.

I stayed at Treehouse Holiday Studios which is a lovely accommodation.
The accommodation is on a high hill just a short walk to town but it's uphill on the way back so a car would be helpful.
Several types of accommodations and all with great views.
Ermioni is a lovely town on the water with numerous options for services and a great base to explore that part of the Argolis Peninsula.
There are several ferries to/from Hydra throughout the day so you don't have to leave early in the morning.
It's about a 35 minute ride on a nice sized boat and only 10 euros each way.

TY for the responses. We did find out we could stay an extra night in Nafplio since ferry does run later in the day when we will be there.
