Epidavros - Mycenae - Ancient Nemea - RS Guide Book, Audio Guide, or licensed guide

We are going to explore Epidavros - Mycenae - Ancient Nemea - We have the RS Guide Book which is helpful but we are debating whether to also pay for the Audio Guide 15 Euro each or licensed guide 150 Euro per location. Have you been to 1, 2 or all 3 of these locations and please let me know your recommendations. We have a licensed guide set up for the Acropolis but was curious if we would benefit from one at these spots or will the RS book be sufficient?

We have visited all three sites on our own which is easy to do. All three are such important sites. We did not have an audio guide, nor a licensed guide. A good guide book is enough. We had the Cadogan guide book. It was a wonderful trip.
Before you go, read up the Greek history for the areas you plan to visit. It will mean so much more to you.
The only guide we hired was also for the Acropolis. Our first trip to Greece was for four weeks and two weeks of that was spent on Crete. And, yes, we have returned to Greece!

I've gone to all those sites and didn't use or need a guide or a tour.

There are numerous websites and guide books you can use to help you explain what you are seeing and experiencing.

It's a matter of doing your research, getting to a site early to avoid crowds and tour groups and go at your own pace.

Since I've never gone on a tour or used a guide I can't comment on whether they are worth it or not but for most experienced travelers they like to a D-I-Y yourself experience.
