EARLY flight from Athens - nearby hotels with 24hrs shuttle

Hi we are flying out of Athens to Paris at 6:30 am - would love to stay at airport Sofitel - but at almost 500 cad a night that’s not going to happen .
Many airport hotels seem to offer shuttles / but often not that early !

Anyone has suggestions

Thanks

We stayed at Hotel Avra in Rafina. It worked out well for us because we flew in from Santorini the day before our return flight home. We were able to use the hotel shuttle from the airport to the hotel and vice versa. Our flight left at the indecent time of 0650 so we had to get on the shuttle by 4 am and the shuttle was full! We also enjoyed our last evening sitting at a restaurant in Rafina’s town square. The meal was good and it was interesting to see all the locals gathering there in the early evening.

The Avra hotel located in Rafina, 20 minutes from the airport has a free shuttle every hour from 3am (in the direction hotel → airport)

It is in high demand and sometimes full, in this case, just next door there is the Corali hotel, but without a free shuttle (you will have to book a taxi)

One or the other are about 3 times cheaper than the Sofitel.

We just returned and stayed our last night at Peri's Hotel, which has a 24 hour transfer service, although we did not need to leave as early as you. The hotel is basic, the people were kind, and the transfer worked great. https://www.perishotelapt.gr/

People reading this who haven't chosen/booked their exact flight yet can learn from others' anxious inquiries. All too often, we're attracted to early departures without thinking of hte consequences --- a 7 AM flight (when you calculate nearly 1 hr drive from Central ATH Hotel to Airport, & requirement to be in line 2 hrs before takeoff) requires you to leave a central-area hotel at 4 AM! So, having to rise at 3-3:15? And pay the night-time premium taxii rate also!

When u realize how this puts a severe crimp into a celebratory "last night dinner" in Athens, you get all cranky. Some of us managed to figure this out ahead of time, and lucky enough to be able to book a 9 or 10 am departure. If not, at least we have Avra & Peris, thankfully.
