I may have jumped the gun in ordering tickets for the Archeological Museum in Athens and the Lindos site on Rhodes. I was instructed to choose a time on the official site, but it also said the times were for statistical purposes only. Are we tied to the times on the tickets or are they good all day?

As you mention in your question, it is specified when you buy your tickets on the official website and choose a time slot:
"The time slot selection is collected for statistical/information purposes only; the user is under no limitation concerning the exact time of the visit"
