Has anyone driven the twisty mountain road from Olympia to Nafpilo in April? Do you recommend it or should we go all the way around thru Patra and Corinth? We will be leaving Athens on day 4 of our itinerary to drive to Delphi(2 Nights) to Olympia(1 night) then on to Nafpilo(3 nights) mid-April then back to Athens the day before our flight home. Thanks in advance!

Not in April. I've taken that mountain road (the one that goes due east and through Tripoli) in December and had no issues. But I would check weather and conditions before making the drive just to be sure there aren't any weather problems.
It is a very pretty drive. Lots of towns nestled on mountain sides and scenic vistas.

Thanks, Douglas. And yes it is Road 74 that we thought we'd take to Nafpilo by way of Tripoli. We will take your suggestion and check the weather and road conditions before we set out.
