I am traveling to Greece this August. I am doing a guided Island Tour, but once that concludes I have a few extra days before flying home to do my own thing. This is my first big trip, so I am not sure if what I have planned is doable, so I was hoping to get some advice.
Day 1 - Train from Athens to Kalambaka in the morning. On arrival - check into hotel and make a 16:30 sunset tour of Meteora (the tour picks up at my hotel).
Day 2 - 08:30 Hiking tour of Meteora (4-5 hours). Once complete - pick up luggage from hotel and catch a bus from Kalambaka to Delphi. I don't have much planned for the evening.
Day 3 - Visit ruins and museums in Delphi. Late afternoon/evening - pick up luggage from hotel and catch a bus back to Athens.
Day 4 - my flight back home leaves around 11:00.
Being that I have never been to Greece, I was nervous to book these hotels and tours before receiving some feedback on whether this is enough time for sightseeing in these locations and travel time. Since I am going in August, I know I need to book things in advance probably since it is a busy time. Any advice or alterations are greatly appreciated! Thank you!
