dinner suggestions for late arrival in Fira, Santorini

We will be landing at Santorini airport at 8:30pm on Monday night in two weeks. By the time we taxi to Fira and get settled in the Scirocco Apartments, I'm guessing it will be around 9:30pm. We will be weary, having traveled from Paris that day with a four hour layover in Athens. Will there be places in Fira still open to grab a quick bite to eat at that hour or should we eat something at the Athens airport? Does anyone know if the food at the airport is decent enough? I don't think we'll be up for a full dinner upon landing in Santorini so late after a full day of travel. Many thanks for your suggestions.

Luckys-a gyro place-is open until 11 pm. I ate twice in Athens airport last year and thought the food was quite good.

Why not e-mail Scirocco Apartments??? They know the easiest/closest place to find a quick snack .... OR (just maybe) they will offer to supply a tray for you to enjoy on your balcony after you've showered and changed to jammies?

It shouldn't be a problem to find an open restaurant in Fira at 9:30 in the middle of June. Try Argo, which is a few minutes' walk along the cliff from Scirocco's location.

Great options upthread. We weren't impressed with the food at the airport on our last eve. in Athens.

When you are rested we highly recommend Stani Tavern another night. It's 5 minutes from Scirocco. We stopped by during the day and made reservations for dinner with a gorgeous view. The staff are wonderful as well as the delicious cuisine. We also had lunch one afternoon.

Thanks everyone for the great ideas. We fly to Santorini tomorrow. I got caught up with the end of the school year madness and didn't get a chance to email Scirocco so I think we'll just see what our energy is like when we arrive. I'll be too tired to enjoy a full meal so Lucky's sounds like a good option, especially if they open until late. Will look into both Stani and Argo for the next two night's dinners. Thanks again.

Go to the top deck of Stani’s to reserve a table. You can eat and watch the sun go down. It was fabulous. My son declared after we had eaten there that we ought to not go anywhere I had not researched (the consensus was it had better view, better food, and lower prices than where we had eaten the previous night which was recommended by our Air BnB).

Enjoy!
