Dinner in Lagkadia

I read on the forum that the dinner was a group dinner in Lagadia. Does anybody know if that is true?

Sorry I am trying to do too much at once. If the dinner is not a group dinner is there a restaurant suggestion that somebody can suggest?

I took the tour in ‘22 and we did have a group dinner with Greek dancers in Lagkadia. It’s a teeny tiny town on top of a mountain and it’s beautiful! By the way, be prepared to eat a lot on this tour. Portions are very generous and they serve several appetizers before the entree. I was usually full by the time the entree came around.

Day 4: Peloponnese Mountains
Today we'll cross over the Gulf of Corinth to the Peloponnese, where we'll temporarily leave our bus for a steep, scenic cog railway ride up to the historic town of Kalavryta, past the waterfalls and caves lining the narrow Vouraikos Gorge. Just beyond, at a riverside café in the mountain village of Planitero, we'll enjoy a lunch of freshly caught trout and other Greek specialties before our bus takes us to our destination high up in the Menalon Mountains.
Light walking: 2–4 miles throughout the day on mostly level terrain. Bus: 5 hours. Train: 1 hour. Sleep in or near Lagkadia.

The description is that there is a group lunch, but no mention of a group dinner. The trip is a bit different than when we went, but the trout lunch was like a full dinner, and you are unlikely to need much that evening..

The guide will undoubtedly have suggestions of where to get something to eat.

I looked back in my journal and we definitely did have a group dinner that night in Lagkadia on top of that amazing grilled trout lunch that we were still stuffed from. From what I remember, our tour occurred during Greek Easter Sunday so our guide had to rework our schedule at the beginning of the trip due to holiday closures. For example, we had to go to Delphi that morning so we missed that cog train ride. We just couldn’t make it on time. I think to make it up she scheduled this group dinner for us with the Greek dancers.

I just did this tour in May, and we had a group dinner at the hotel in Lagkadia. If you're staying at the Kentrikon, the hotel is family-owned and -run, and one of the sons now prepares the meals. We had several small plates before the main dish, which was lamb. I and several tourmates said it was the best lamb they had during the trip.
