Hello, my name is Casey. I will be traveling in Greece in the middle of March, 2019. One of my destinations is Delphi. I plan to get there nice and early (renting a car). And spend one full day at both the archaeological site and the town. I'm an avid runner, hiker, and most importantly an ancient history enthusiast. I've been reading about an ancient path (Archaio Monopati) that starts at the east end of the town up to the Corycian Grotto, the huge cave sacred to Pan. I suppose my question is, has anyone else made this hike? As i understand it the more common thing to do is to taxi up to near the Grotto, then make your way back down to the town. But I've competed in 50k trail races and enjoy a challenge. Is this hike/run achievable in March? I imagine there may be some snow on the ground here and there? Well marked? Any insight?
