I contacted the guide suggested in my 2019 Greece book (Antonis Pothitos) for a private tour of Delos in late September. He quoted me 220 Euro for two adults for 3 hours. This seems high to me has anyone take an tour with him? Is it worth that much? It also does not include the ferry or site entry cost.

I did a Delos/Mykonos tour (all day) from Naxos. It took a while to get to Delos but we had about 3 hours on the island on our own. No guide but if you do your research you can understand what you are seeing. We then went to Mykonos for a couple hours. I much better enjoyed Delos than Mykonos.
220 euros for 2 is quite a lot for 3 hours in addition to whatever the ferry and entry costs. I'm sure the tour and guide will be good but the 220 euros is a bit high for me.
You can take a tour from either Naxos or Mykonos for a lot less.
