Can one tour Delos on a Monday? The 2010 edition of The Blue Guide says tours do not run on Mondays but I do not see any mention of that in the latest Rick Steves guide and it appears that tickets are available. Does anyone have a recommendation for a guide? I emailed Antonis Pothitos but did not receive a reply.
Lonely Planet guide books are informative and the 12th edition will be available in Sep: https://shop.lonelyplanet.com/products/greek-islands-11?via=Z2lkOi8vbG9uZWx5LXBsYW5ldC9Xb3JrYXJlYTo6Q2F0YWxvZzo6Q2F0ZWdvcnkvNTllZTQ5YmFmOTJlYTE0MTg2MDU4NWQ0.
I can't remember which day of the week we went, but were there in late October '18.
My suggestion would be to contact your hotel and ask. Especially if you are staying in Mykonos "town". They should have a good idea of the schedules, based on the time of year you're visiting. Probably a better chance May - Sept. in a "normal" year. Hotel may also know of a guide. I think I saw several meet groups as they arrived on the island from the ferry. Might be able to book as you arrive. Crowds are controlled by limiting the number of ferries each day.
We had a great time - be prepared for a good amount of walking and plan on several hours if you want to really explore.
Our hotel on Mykonos made all of our reservations for our trip out to Delos.
Thank you everyone! I will check with my hotel for the latest info.
