Any recommendations for a day trip to Corinth? We can find a driver to get us there but it looks like we have to hire a separate guide for Corinth. We are wondering if it is worth hiring a guide or is it easy to do ourselves?
I assume that by Corinth you mean the site of Ancient Corinth and not the Acrocorinth fortress or the canal.
Drivers are not authorized to act as guides; you need a licensed official guide to visit archaeological sites, but you can certainly visit on your own.
To get there, you'll need to take a KTEL bus to the town of Corinth and then a local bus to the site.

Renting a car for the day is the easiest and fastest option.
I did this as a tour from Athens with a tour I purchased through Shore Excursions.com. It really wasn’t a true shore excursion since pickup was at various hotel locations in Athens. The official title of the tour was “Corinth Half-Day Trip from Athens Hotels.” We stopped at the Corinth Canal overlook for a brief bathroom/sightseeing stop. We then proceeded to Ancient Corinth where we did have a guide showing us through the site.
I was a bit “ ancient site overloaded” after 3 weeks in Turkey and Greece so I’m not the best person to give a review. The tour itself was fine. I just found that my interest was starting to wane as the day went on.
