Day/overnight trip from Athens in March?

We are traveling to Greece (round trip, in and out of Athens) in mid-March this year for our honeymoon! We will be there for 7 days, 8 nights. Our current plan is to spend four days in Athens and three in Santorini, but we want to do at least a day trip from Athens to explore a little more of the country.

I've seen some pretty amazing-looking overnight trips from Athens that stop in Delphi and go to Meteora, which looks absolutely gorgeous to us. But would it be way too much travel time for an overnight? Would coming back from Meteora, and then going to Santorini, be an absurd amount of travel time to squeeze into a week vacation? Is it better to do only Delphi? Or stick even closer to Athens? We have also considered a day trip to Napfoli/Mycenae/Corinth.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a good day or overnight exploration from Athens, for a young couple with no children? Thanks!

I would suggest planning Athens/mainland at the end of your stay to simplify your departure for home.

A day trip ( or an overnight) to Nafplio or Delphi would be all I would try to add, in the time you have.

Given you plan to go to Santorini, a day trip to Delphi may be a better choice than another seaside stop in Nafplio.
