Recently we have desided to make 1 day tour to famous nd beautiful Argolis. Our based was house of a friend in Vouliagmeni and so
we try several companies in order to find a good car for our trip. Finally we choose a local car rental agency Morphis rent a car and the offered us a brand new Scoda Kodiaq automatic with diesel. This car is so big ,plenty of space for 5 of us and our luggages.
we have started our trip very early in the morning about 08.00 am . The weather is warm and sunny . The national road is excellent and safe.
First stop at the canal of Corinth. It is really marvellous to watch from top this canal happend a centure ago in order to seas ,The Saronic Gulf and Corinth Gulf to connected in order ships to avoid sailing across Peloponesse.
Second stop Mycanae. After driving almost one hour from Corinth we have arrived in Mycanae the famous Homeric city of Atreides . The Gold city. We have seen the Lions Gate ,The Cyclopean walls and the Royal tombs.
Then we drive to Nafplion 15 minutes aways from Mycanae.
Nafplion is a beautiful and Historical city by the sea . was the first capital of Greece after the occupation from Turkish empire
We have seen the Bourtzi a small island in front of the city and palamidi with 999 steps with a panoramic view .
The old town is typical with narrow roads ,hotels and coffee restaurants.
From Nafplion to Ancient theater of Epidaure very famous for the acoustic. Beautiful place very green and a wonderful theater .
We are very happy visiting all these places in one day . The trip was quite easy and educational.
Return tho Vouliagmeni from Epidaure is beautiful by the sea driving between pines
We have returned to our house at 7.00 pm .
