Looking for your help!
We are debating whether to visit Crete or Rhodes. or perhaps both.
We are traveling at the end of August and have about 6 days to explore the islands.

If you have six days to explore an island, make it Rhodes. You can spend a few nights in Rhodes City and include a day trip to Symi Island by ferry (1h) and also spend time in Lindos. Don’t forget your swimsuit.

Crete is huge, more like a small country than an island. Realistically, it will take a minimum of a week with a rental car just to barely scratch the surface. Save Crete for another visit.

I ll stick with the comments upon. 6 days are enough to explore all the beauties of Rhodes island without rushing yourself. On the other hand, distances are very long in Crete and you will spend most of time in a car if you decide to visit more than 2 cities.
