Hello, is American Express accepted in restaurants, or usually Visa?

Some Restaurants accept Amex but mainly it's Visa and MasterCard .

Visa is accepted just about everwhere, Amex not so much.

AMEX cards are not widely accepted in Europe, so to be safe, I would definitely bring along a second credit card that is either MasterCard or Visa.

I agree with all of the above. We have been in Greece for 3 weeks and the only places that have accepted AMEX are gas stations and a museum. Everywhere else only took Visa.
