We will have a full day in Piraeus before boarding a cruise ship and hope to visit St. Paul's sites in Corinth. I've come up with several methods of doing so.
-rent a car and visit sites on our own, possibly purchasing an audio guide to help.
-take a train and from there visit sites within walking distance of the station
-book a tour via GYG or Viator
-book a tour with a provider other than the two above.

The Corinth train station is several kilometers from the archaeological sites, it's not within walking distance.
Platforms like GYG and Viator are merely intermediaries offering tours organized by local travel agencies but charge a higher price.
Tours to Corinth depart from central Athens, not Piraeus.
You might want to check out these local travel agencies that offer group or private tours, the tour may include a licensed tourist guide if you want more information and interaction than a basic audio guide:

Renting a car is an option, though it might be difficult to arrange for just a single day, but I wouldn't recommend it if you aren't used to driving in Greece.

I would definitely book a tour for this versus trying to do this independently. An alternative would to spend some time on sites in Athens connected to Paul. I found Mars Hill very interesting and nothing like I had imagined it to be. It is located next to the Acropolis.
I did take a tour out to Corinth from Athens. I have to admit I found the experience a little disappointing. I don’t know if it was because it was at the end of a month long trip and I had seen lots and lots of ruins by this time, or if I had just expected too much from the site.
