Uber-style rideshare drivers are banned in Greece, but you can still try using the app. You'll just end up getting an actual licensed taxi driver who uses the app. I don't know specifically about Corfu, but generally speaking on the islands, taxis just set whatever rates they want, so don't expect the driver to turn on the meter during the ride.

I've been in touch since yesterday with some French travelers who are in Corfu without a car. They're having a really hard time finding taxis at reasonable prices. For a trip of about 20 km (12 miles) from Mesonghi to Lefkimi, they couldn't find anything under €50. That's more expensive than a full day's car rental.

Note that there is a bus network in Corfu, though I don't know enough about it to say if it's a viable option for your trips.

Thank you Jolui and Texas Travel Mom. That being said I will probrobly rent a car from the airport upon arrival for our time in Palaiokastritsa, then drop it off at the airport on the way back to Corfu old town, then taxi as needed. Thanks again!

I did rent a car from a small, local agency. Driving was not quite like that in the US but we managed. Local drivers can get impatient with tourists. Also, the motorcycles can be aggressive.

Palaiokastritsa is a smaller beach and it gets very crowded. Arrive early to grab a spot. Have fun in Corfu. Bring some drinks and snacks with you.
