We are planning to be in Corfu for our daughters wedding, and would like to go to Montengro (Kotor) or any where in Montenegro from there. I’ve been looking and there doesn’t seem to be an easy (quick) route to take. Does anyone have any ideas of how to get there, or any ideas?
www.skyscanner.com shows flights to Kotor with a layover in Belgrade through June 15. With nothing showing after that. Maybe it's too early to show later dates?
Thanks so much!
Interesting as there is no airport in Kotor.
The flight from Corfu goes to Podgorica which is something less than a 2 hour drive to Kotor. I looked at Dubrovnik too (not much further than Podgorica) but the layovers are crazy long. Ive flown Air Serbia a number of times and changed in Belgrade a number of times ......... on the way to Podgorica a number of times. Air Serbia is a decent airline, Belgrade is a decent airport to change in. If you need transportation to Kotor or around Montenegro: Dijana Krkotic, Guide & Tour Designer, Doclea Travel, +382 69 277 749, [email protected], www.docleatravel.com can arrange it.
Not sure why you are going to Kotor, great place to visit, but wouldnt be my first choice for a night on the bay (I would do the Hotel Conte in Perast https://youtu.be/zYJcm2zlXA8?si=PWSb_egr1t7yDG9-). This post has a nice collection of tourist videos for Montenegro. https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/montenegro/podgorica-to-dubrovnik-by-car
EDIT: That Air Serbia flight only works out well a few days of the week otherwise they dont make the run or the layover is crazy long (but i see flights well into the year past June). There are some Austrian Air flights as well, seems counter intuitive to fly to Vienna, but it really doesn’t take any longer because of lay over times.
Well it helps if I read the question, sorry.

Where in Montenegro depends on the time of year to some degree. Also depends on how much time you have and what you are interested in. (city, nature, coast, mountains, hiking, rafting) Look at those videos in the thread I linked above. Then really do contact the guide I linked. She can just plan or plan and guide; so works no matter your style of travel (search the name on forum for reviews of her service). If you are there in May, wave hello as I will be on the coast for a few days and in the high country fishing for a few days. Maybe my favorite country as a whole.
