Connecting Flights

I am looking for some advice on whether I should try and change my flight. The flight I originally booked went from CVG->JFK->ATH and we had about a 3.5 hour layover in JFK so I wasn't worried about missing our flight to Athens if we were delayed out of CVG. The flight has been changed and it is now CVG->ATL->JFK->ATH. My biggest concern is the layover in ATL is only 35 mins and the layover in JFK is only an hour, so if we miss our flight from ATL to JFK we are going to miss our flight to Athens and then our flight to Santorini. There is nothing out of ATL that gets us to JFK in time to catch our flight to Athens.

It looks like I might have the option to change my flight for free (hopefully). If so there is another flight from CVG->CDG->ATH with a 1.5 hour layover in CDG. From what I have read some have had struggles with this airport. Am I better off trying to switch and have my connector in CDG so that I will at least be in Europe if we miss our connection? Or should I just stay with our current flight plan and hope it works out.

Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You don't say, but this looks like a Skyteam alliance flight using Delta and Air France. If so, it would be good to take the nonstop from CVG to CDG so that you make your first connection in Europe. If you miss the CDG-ATH connection, they will most likely put you on the next flight (there are several other flights later in the day on Air France).

That was my thought as well. We would at least be in Europe where it is easier to get to Athens than if we are still stuck in Atlanta trying to get to Athens.

I am going to call and try to switch.

Thank you!
