Condor Flights Anchorage to Athens

Just wondering if anyone has previously traveled from Anchorage to Athens in the spring on Condor Airlines. Planning to travel May 2022 and ticket prices just jumped up by 300+ dollars a ticket on Condor. It’s currently about $1400 round-trip and was $1062. Do you think it’s best to wait and see if prices go down or do you think prices will stay the same or go up? Trying to decide whether to take action finally—I’m kicking myself for waiting! Thank you so much for your help.

There's no way of knowing if there will be an airfare sale between now and your proposed departure date. Usually ticket prices increase as space available diminishes, the closer you get to that date. Of course it's up to you, but I think you should bite the bullet and buy now.

Just looked at random dates, with lowest prices for May, and found a 1299.98 r/t ( "7 left")

I would not count on a big decrease to occur.

Thank you so much! I was just hoping to get a historical perspective on what average prices are in May, but you’re right there’s no way to know when or if a fare sale will happen. Lesson learned— it’s best to book when you think it’s a good price and not wait too long! Oh well! Guess I’ll bite the bullet and book it!

Do you have Alaska air miles?

This is what we did. I used AS miles to fly to Newark. There was a long layover and then we had paid tickets on Emirates from Newark to Athens, direct, non-stop flight. This would reduce your cost considerably.
Good luck.
