Considering going to a concert at Odeon prior to starting our Rick Steves tour in September. The concert starts at 8pm, Wondering if the path to the Acropolis is lit up? Has anyone attended a concert there? Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Since you'll be there at least 30 minutes before the concert it will still be daylight in September.
Anyway access to an arena with a seating capacity of 5,000 is not provided without lighting, even after the concert and even in Greece.
To get there, for example, from the Acropolis metro station, take Areopagitou Street, a large pedestrianized street which runs along the south slope of the Acropolis, then turn right onto an alley with a few meters of stairs.
