Combined tickets for sights and transportation in Athens

We plan to be in Athens for 5 days and want to buy the combined tickets for sights and transportation. Where do we buy the ticket?

The combined tickets for sights and transportation doesn't exist.

There was a combined ticket (which didn't include any transport) which will be discontinued as of April 1, 2025.

Only third-party services sell tickets that include multiple sites, which ultimately cost more than buying individual tickets on the official website.

Official website:

For transportation, use public transportation. There is a 5-day ticket that allows you unlimited travel on the metro, bus, trolleybus, and tram for €8.20.
Note that most of the major sites and museums are grouped together in the same, largely pedestrianized area.
Therefore, public transportation is only useful if you want to fully explore Athens, and not necessarily the touristy Athens.

Thanks for that. I went on that site and had already bought what they say is a ticket for the Acropolis and other sites, good for 5 days. I wish they would have said it is being discontinued because I bought one for April 3. It was 30 Euro so that's about the same as the single Acropolis ticket. Very strange.

You're right, the combined ticket is back and it's the same price as before: €30.
But I think there's a bug with the website. It works 1 in 10 times. Not sure if the combo ticket purchase option is something that's intentional.

They're definitely hard to track at Hellenic Heritage!

I can't find a combined ticket. There is only an Acropolis and Slopes now at 30 Euro.

Following many different forums and FB pages, everyone states the the combined ticket ends on March 31st.

I'd love to find one, because this trip is getting more and more expensive each day as our AUD gets lower and lower.

Yes, the end of the combined ticket is part of phase 2 of a fare reorganization; it was officially announced in December 2023.

When the OP said he was able to purchase a combined ticket, I actually saw on the official website that it was still available after March 31, but I tried 5 or 6 times to book it and couldn't get through to the payment process.
It's also no longer offered on third-party reseller sites (where it cost more).
So I'm wondering how Teresa was able to buy this ticket.

Sorry about the AUD exchange rate.

This may seem like an inappropriate answer, but I remind you that visiting the Acropolis is not mandatory and that you can have one of the most beautiful views of the Partheon and the Acropolis hill for free from Areopagus Hill.
